Pet Rock

A paper, rock, and scissors is almost all you need to make this cute little mouse.  This craft is easy enough for most kids, although it can get sticky!  Once you've tried this cute, white mouse, try to make a pink piggie or a bunny rabbit.

You will need:

1.  A roughy oval rock

2.  A sheet of paper, torn into 1/2 inch pieces.

3.  White glue

4.  A paint brush (or a finger tip)

5.  A 3 inch piece of wire (optional)

 

Brush and glue Step 1.  Brush a stip of paper with the glue.
Press one strip of paper onto the rock Step 2.   Press the paper firmly onto the rock.
Keep adding pieces of paper to cover the rock Step 3.  Keep adding glue covered paper bits, overlapping each one slightly, until the rock is covered.  If desired, add a second layer.
Twist paper to make a tail. Twist it around wire for a bendable tail. Step 4.  Twist paper to make a tail.  If desired, twist the wire inside, for a shapable tail.
Attach the tail Step 5.   Glue the tail onto the body.
Step 6.  Cut two ears out of paper and glue them onto the head.  You can paint on a face, if desired.
