Popsicle Stick Angel

This angel is a perfect craft to do with your children this Christmas.  You can find colored popsicle sticks in craft stores, or you can paint popsicle sticks any color.  You can decorate the angel with beads or sequins if you like.

You will need:

Three popsicle sticks

Sharp scissors

A large wooden bead

White tulle

A golden pipecleaner

Glue

A loop of ribbon

Step 1.

Cut two of the popsicle sticks in half.  Cut about 1/4 of an inch off the ends of the third popsicle stick at an angle as shown.

 Step 2.

Glue one of the popsicle sticks onto the other two.  Glue the hands in place.

Step 3.

To make the head of the angel, glue a loop of ribbon to the top.  Take a small piece of the pipecleaner and twist it into a circle. Glue it to the top of the bead to make the halo.

 Step 4.

Tie a piece of tulle into a bow.  Glue it to the back of the angel to make the wings.

Have you heard the saying, "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings?"  It was used in the popular holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life."  Although the film did poorly at the box office when it was first released, it has since won critical acclaim and the affection of a wide audience.
